CSR

Hi, I am 32yrs old male, diagnosed with CSR in the right eye (sub-macular) 6months back. Recently it affected my left eye as well. I got a simple focal laser done on the left eye since the leak was away from the center. However the progress on the right is been pretty slow. The doc says it has healed by around 70% and asked me to wait for another 6 weeks. I am not on any medication for this. I have had acidity (esophageal reflux) for ages and I take Rabeprazole 10mg every day for last 4yrs. I am not a type A guy, don't have any rigid rules/disciplines as such.

In the meantime I have quit smoking, tobacco, cut down on alcohol (once a week), trying to eat healthy, not over-work etc. Is there any medication that would help? I do see lot of information on this, however my doc didn't suggest anything. Am doing ok? Is there any doc in India (particularly in Bangalore) doing research on this, can someone suggest?

Its been 10months now and left eye is ok. However the right eye has worsen, I can sense that the dark spot has grown bigger that it used to be. On my doctor's suggestion, visited a Endocrinologist and did a blood test - Cortisol (random/8am/4pm/12am), hba1c, random sugar. The report is fine. Not sure how long to wait on this, should I consider a specialised laser treatment?

Thanks Dr. O.
I have been told about the effect of stress towards CSR, but I insistently believe that I am under no stress, except for the intermittent thought of my eye condition. I get good sleep - 9hrs at least.

I am starting to work out for the first time in my life. Planning to take on some sport - badminton may be. Hope that would not worsen it. Will it?
Knowing that my right eye has recovered 70% in last 6months since the onset, how long can I wait for it to self-heal?
I will ask my doctor about Avastin in next visit.

The problem with CSR is that it recurs and the leak is frequently from a different spot.

Stress is a major factor.   Avastin is a treatment used by some retinal specialist.
