Would LASIK help with glare in left eye?

Hello, just throwing this question out. Had cataract surgery done in both eyes just last month. Having problems mostly with my left eye - edge glare, shimmer, reflections of light off the lens. VERY dry eyes (both eyes). I need to wear sunglasses everywhere I go. (Also, very unhappy with losing my close vision). Headaches every day, as well.

I've been told all these things should resolve with time. If they do, that's great. If they DON'T....what are my surgical options, if any? Could LASIK resolve the glare and reflection problems?

Hi Dr Kutryb, thanks for the advice. I've been researching LASIK and you are absolutely right, I don't think it would be an option for me at this time. My dry eyes are still dry but at least I'm not putting in Refresh Tears every hour on the hour any more. I see my eye doctor next week so will discuss more treatment options for my dry eyes at that time.

I am slowly getting used to reading glasses......! And I must admit, the distance vision is pretty awesome.

Thanks again for your help!

LASIK would not be a good idea for you since you are having such a difficult time dealing with recent cataract surgery.  Regarding losing your near vision - you can wear reading glasses and do just great!  Most of what we do is in the distance - and then just put on your reading glasses as needed.  Your very dry eyes are likey your main problem.  Aggressively treat this problem and other problems will likely improve (except need for reading glasses.)  Again, these things just won't with time.  You need to specifically, and properly, diligently treat the dry eyes for a long time.
