black catract

my father r get the test of his eyes and doctor tell him in his right eye he have  black catractc, his test result is in
RIGHT EYE= RELIANCE:82%
LEFT EYE=  RELIANCE :8%
KINDLY TELL ME WHat we do.

Would the extra effort in removing, play a bigger factor in stressing the retina of an ARMD patient?

Seems that it would.

Some studies indicate that removing the cataract has no (or little) effect on the MD patient.
But I think they are talking about "typical" cataracts.
