can't handle contact lens anymore

Hello everyone, can someone please give any advice on my situation?

So about a year ago my eyes turned really red with my monthly contacts so i stopped wearing them and the eye doctor thought it was an infection. Then i started wearing the daily lenses and i was fine but it started turning red again after a couple of months. I went back to another opthamologist and he said that after a while your eyes can't tolerate contact lenses anymore, he told me to really limit my use of them.

I don't want to wear glasses all the time and im only 20 years old and i don't want to get lasik surgery done so young. Is lasik my best option. What is the best thing to do at this point?

Hi
Ive had implantable lenses great for me,im 37 years old tho,but an idea for you in a few year times, had same problem with contact lenses, acuvue 2 weekly lenses are very good lenses, same as monthly but thinner, but i think they have stopped doing them now..The best lens i had until my implants is acuvue Trueye dailies, now ive tried every lens out there, every make over 22years wearing time this one comes far more on top than any other, lets in 99% oxygen very comfortable, another thing nutella00 wouldn't use preservative solutions, all you need is preservative free saline,to swill the lens before inserted and a drop on the lens as you insert, this should solve your problem

I appreciate your help.
I have always used acuve advance and the same opti-free solution. My eyes never had a problem with them until last year. And my daily lenses were also acuve.

My vision has also changed from the past year so the doctor said that he would keep watching it. Does lasik results last forever? or just a number of years until your eyes change again? Thank you

Get a second opinion from another ophthalmologist.  There are many causes of contact lens intolerance.  It could be the brand of the lens or the solution you use.  Also, you are not too young for LASIK if your vision is stable.
