I went to a cornea specialist the other day regarding the enlarged blood vessels in both of my eyes. I brought up the idea of cauterization and he told me that that procedure would inevitably make the situation worse than what it is right now. Furthermore--he stated that cauterization of the vessels would work a week or two but the vessels would come back and look more pronounced.
If cauterization doesn't work, then why is it a procedure used to reduced enlarged blood vessels?
