eye disorder( flashing

I see a flash of bright light in my right eye. It appears for a brief moment of time it moves quite quickly and then it disappears. This usually happens when i get from a lighted room into a dark one but recently it appears even when there isn`t a transition in the brightness of the light. It`s very disturbing.

Its normal to see minute flashes when you move your head side to side in pure dark room, but if you see very bright flashes like almost one is staring torch at your eyes for a brief period then its an abnormality.

Flashes that we see inside eye look similar to camera flashes but not that much strong. Tiny specks of flashes in bright environment is usually due to eye floaters.

Since you have already consulted eye doctor & confirmed no tear or hole in retina then there is no need to worry. Re consultation is only needed if you experience bright flashing lights in a pure dark room (like inside a dark room at night).

The flashes you are now experiencing might be the light reflected from these tiny floaters in lighted environment.

I think its due to your eye worries, if you experience bright flashes in dark room like during night then go to a good eye doctor for checkup otherwise ignore it.
