Spot in vision

I am a 32 year old female, I went to my retina specialist concerning a worry I had about my wet AMD, I had noticed that my spot was darker than normal when I looked at the Amsler. After checking my vision it had went down a line to 20/40 but he said everything looked fine to him and that the area was dry. He also did the OTC scan just to be sure.

He said sometimes we just have bad weeks with this. I guess I agree my allergies have been bad but it doesn't help me understand the dark spot. This all occured Tuesday and it still is about the same.

Can you help me understand why this might have occured? And with wet if the area is now dry can that spot become darker just because of the disease????

Silly question but what is a refraction?   What is a refraction error?

It would be highly unusual for someone of your age to have dry AMD.  You need a refraction to make sure the change is not from a change in refractive error.
