ghosting of the eyes.

Hi im Isaac Guiste 21. Recently ive been experiencing a ghosting effect in both eyes where around lightened objects and darker objects i see a feint outline around them. streetlamps of a night time have an extra bit of light to them to the bottom left corner and brighter lights scatter ie. car headlights, especially at night. And i have noticed these white spots of light accross my vision that are more noticeable when looking up at the sky or at whiter backgrounds. My G.P. gave me eye drops for dry eye but they did nothing, and my opticians and opthomologist said my eyes are both healthy apart from the Astigmatism and Squint i have in my left eye and am slightly shortsighted in both. Im not covinced i feel theres more to this problem than just that. Any ideas?

yeah but the thing is iam wearing glasses and have had a new pair for two months now. It has suddenly come on after i had been wearing the glasses. And the glasses iam wearing are not doing anything about the ghosting just the shortsightedness. Pluss my eyes are constntly feeling tired and strained and when it first happened i was experiencing some awful constant headaches for two weeks  But i still struggle with my central vision. With the sudden symptoms im experiencing my ordinary pair of glasses wont be enough will they??

Thankyou for you advice iam hopfully going back in a couple of weeks for another appoinment. I know that these experiences of shooting white blotches and funny patterns plus the ghosting effect that i see worst at night are not normal. And every now and then but not often these smallish blobs or purple light appear and i can see them eyes open or closed but not often does this happen sometimes every few days. My girlfriend is concerned and says i should not just ignore this at all. I agree and am going to mention this to my Opthamologist next time i go. Thankyou
