Relax ghosting usually just means you need glasses. If things clear up when you look through a pinhole that usually confirms it. Get in to see an Eye MD ophthaljmoloigst. Find one at www.aao.org

I have exactly the same thing happen to me.
When I have tried to explain this to people, they just look at me like I'm crazy. I don't even look at our alarm clock in a dark room, the numbers are ghosted to the right and above the actual number. What is the pinhole test? Did you get any help for this. I already wear glasses and they don't help to correct the ghosting, they actually made it worse.
Had ghosting, halos, starbursts at night - optometrist said no problems with eyes - saw opthalmologist and I have two cataracts. Elongated type (?) in the middle of my eye. Doesn't affect daytime vision, just nighttime. Easy fix. Glad I saw the opthalmologist.
1.Dry eyes causing a higher oreder aberration especially towards the end of the day...can be reduced to a great extend by frequent eye blinking and eye lubricants...or a poor tear film
2.other higher order aberration most probably a spherical aberration noted especially in dark when eyes dilate which cant be correccted by normal glasses...may need contact glasses if quality of life affected..
3.An uncorrected myopia or regular astigmatism
4.An overcorrected or undercorrected myopia or regular astigmatism
5.very rarely keratoconus(do a corneal topography) or irregular astigmatism due to corneal scars
No need for worry...simple thing to correct except last one
