After cataract surgery

My wife had cataract surgery  12/04/08 .  See could hardly see when doctor took patch off.  Pupil is like a pin point and doesn't get larger. what vision she has now is very blurred and very dark like night she says.
Doctor didn't seem very concerned, however my wife and I are concerned.  People on the DVD we watched before surgery didn't mention that it would be a while before your vision would even be as good as before surgery.  I'm supposed to have catatact surgery 12/11/08.   I am very concerned. Should I be. or is this nolthing to be concerned about?

Thanks for the advice.  I would have thought she would have explained the problem to us.  She said it wasn't anything she couldn't fix in the office.  After talking to others who have IMO implants ,they said they could see  when the patch was removed.  This has caused great concern.

Your wife may or may not have a problem. Cataracts often differ in "hardness" and harder cataracts often cause swelling of the cornea which can take a week or so to clear up.

If you have the same surgeon you might postpone the surgery until she's out of the woods seeing good and confidence is restored.

If she doesn't see better by Monday call and ask to be seen that day.
