Can an Eye Exam Make Me WORSE???

I just had my first eye exam about 4 days ago.  I'm 19 and my only real problem was "Hmmm, I think I should be able to see those street signs from farther away..."  So the exam determined that I have mixed astigmatism, and my glasses will arrive in another 1.5-2 weeks.  (Prescription: +.25, -1.00, 005; +.25, -.75, 164)  After the eye exam, my eyes were dilated and obviously quite blurry.  By that evening, my pupils had returned to normal size and I thought my vision was just a little of because of the stresses of the day's activities on them.  But ever since, my eyes have been worse.  They are now noticably blurry, and I can barely read for 10 or 15 minutes without it giving me a headache.  Everything I do seems so taxing on my eyes and causes a daily headache and fatigue.  This is extremely bothersome.  Please help!  I just want to know what during/after the exam could have caused this????

It's not normal. Call the "eye doctor's" office tomorrow and discuss the problem. You will likely need to go in for a re-exam.
