Strong pain in right eye

Please someone help. I have strong pain in my right eye that comes and goes. I get a sick feeling through out body because of the strong pain . Thank God it only lasts a minute or two or I would really go crazy.
Had MRI that showed 5mm cyst on pituitary gland but wasn't touching the nerve so they say. Nerves seem to be ok had VEP.

Please any ideas would be great or comments. Opthamoligist say eyes are normal..

I don't think it can be  tic doulereux  because the pain is only in my eyeball not really my face.
I guess I will see an opthomoligist again.
and again I'll leave with no answers.  Story of my life
but pain is real

Can it be an eye migraine that lasts so quickly?

I LITERALLY FEEL YOUR PAIN.  IT'S THE KIND OF PAIN THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO CRAWL OUT OF YOUR SKIN.  I WENT TO OPTHO SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TOLD IT WAS AN INFECTED OIL GLAND... "APPLY HOT COMPRESSES AND WASH EYE W/ BABY SHAMPOO" ... THEN WAS PUT ON ANTI-BIOTICS FOR 6+ MONTHS.

NO LUCK..

I JOKE WHEN MY HUBBY GOES TO THE STORE; PICK ME UP AN "EYEBALL PLUCKER"   BUT IT'S REALLY NOT FUNNY.

COULD THIS BE VIRAL?

HAVE YOU HAD SHINGLES?

I'M HAVING MY 2ND SHINGLES OUTBREAK IN A YEAR WHICH IS WHY I AM ON THIS FORUM.  (I AM FAR TOO YOUNG FOR SHINGLES).

WHAT IS A VEP?

Options:

1. Ask the ophthalmologist for his/her recommendations for consultation: neurologist? Ear-Nose-Throat?
2. See a neuro-ophthalmologist find one at www.aao.org


there are some "facial pain" syndromes the most common being tic doulereux that should be excluded.
