I had uveitis for the first time at age 51 this year. My eye is now quiet. I was discovered to have HLA-B27. There have not been any other associated illnesses discovered in me through scans, blood work or symptoms.
I understand that uveitis has a recurrent nature, that it can flare and subside. My question, is that absolutely inevitable? Does anyone ever have one flare and then never again? I would just like to know if it is ever possible, and I know that does not mean for me specifically.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom for prevention of flares and the absolute best tactical self care and health habits for an optimal future? Thank you.
