restasis

I have a Baer Veldt implant in my right eye. The press since my surgery , which was may22 07, was nine after the stitches released and stayed tht low until this month. on Jan 3 the press was 23. My Dr. prescribed Cosopt twice daily.
MY QUESTION: Early Dec of 07 I started Restasis because of acute eye dryness which impaired my vision. Could the Restasis have caused this? My vision is good now but for the occasional need of eye lube I find that the residue of Restasis works better than any otc drops I can instill. I keep the vial closed with a clean tootpick. This is working great for me, but am I headed for some kind of a problem?

Thank you so much for the advice that you gave me concerning IOP and Restasis. I really appreciate your taking time to help me. A 75 yr male who has a history of glaucoma and eight total eye surgeries since 1974, Four in the last three years. including cornea transplant, two vitrectomies and of course the recent baer veldt. I pray that my eyesight will last me for the rest of my life. A very active older male.
Again THANK YOU SIR.      Thomas (noslit)

Restasis will not raise IOP. Leave the toothpick out of the vial. Better to just stand up upright and leave it open. It should be used within 24 hrs or throw it away.
