retinal reattachment 2 surgery

I am 28 years old, I have known since I was a small child that there was a chance I would one day have to have retina surgery.  I had my retina detach and had surgery to fix it with a gas bubble and laser.  Two weeks after I started having more problems.  He found another spot so he lasered all around my retina and took the jelly stuff out and my lens out of my eye due to cataracts forming.  It has been five weeks since my last surgery.  The gas bubble has been gone for a week and a half.  I have been for my check ups and he says everything looks great.  I should be able to have a lens transplant in 2 to 3 months.  I have been experiencing lights flashing around the edges of the peripheral vision loss.  Is this something to be worried about?

I don't think I would worry, but I would call the office and tell them.
