Do you think my vision will return to normal

I have a c-pap machine which I need and have been wearing all the time.  Saturday morning, 4:00a.m., I awoke, with my right eye hurting and watering profusely.  Since the Dr. wasn't in on Sunday, I waited until Monday morning, and went back to my sleep specialist, who referred me on to see my optometrist.  By this time, the eye was really red, and swelling around the outside of the eye.  My optometrist told me I had a large hole in the cornea.  He has been trying to get this healed up by putting in a contact the last two days, using drops q 2 hours while awake, and yesterday, I used a steroid drop three times.  Today, when I went back, he said the hole is 85% healed, so I was given ointment to put in q 3 hours and go back Friday.  My vision is not good in that eye.  Everything is blurry.  I am hoping that will come back in time.  I had been sleeping on my stomach with head to the side.  I just want everyone with a c-pap mask to know what can happen.  Do you think my vision will come back as good as it was?  Also, I really need the mask, but I don't want my eye sight lost because of it.

Thank you for responding to my post.  Little update, I thought everything was going good and my eye was healing .  I had seen an eye doctor last week.  Then Saturday, I bought a mask to put over my eyes, and wore th c-pap machine that night.  I woke up about 4 a.m., with terrific pain in my right eye again.  Was unable to get help until Monday morning, then saw the eye dr., who put in a contact len to heal the cornea.  I did not wear the c-pap Monday night, but after I got up Tuesday morning, the pain became excruiating again, and went back to the eye dr.  He said, we were back to square one, and had a large hole in the cornea again.  I now have an appointment with a cornea specialist today, but am concerned with my vision, as this has been going on for 1 1/2 weeks now, and still not healed or vision has not returned to normal.

You most likely had a corneal abrasion.  This treatment is unusual.  I would recommend you see an EyeMD (an ophthalmologist).
