sudden crossed vision

Yesterday I was standing at a conference and suddenly my left eye was causing crossed vision.  This has never happened before.  I was diagnosed with low pressure glaucoma but am not taking medication for it.  When I covered my left eye, the crossed vision was no longer and when I removed my hand it returned.  This lasted for only a couple of minutes and I was fine after.  I am a 59 year old firefighter and the first thought that entered my mind was STROKE.  This scared the daylights out of me so I am just not sure.

thank you for your words.  I have never smoked, do not drink alcohol, have never taken recreational narcotics and exercise quite regularly.  I will look into this further just to be safe.

You may have had a TIA and you need to be seen by an ophthalmologist and an internist.  A TIA can be a warning sign for a possible stroke.
