I am a diabetic who has devoloped a cataract  i have yearly screenig for my eyes. i needed new glasses went along to have an eye test they highly recomended that i should now consider having the cataract removed. i arranged an appiontment with the eye department at which they found i had had a tiny bleed however said that they would carry outthe procedure whilst booking the operation date for six weeks later the nurse said actually we have an appointment for tomorrow if you would like that i was a bit surprised but agreed mainly due to the fact my mother has started with medical problems and my dad is 90 its very difficult for them so i decided to have the op which was carried out as as dated above. I have had my check up 4 weeks after the op and my eye is cloudy so the will perform laser treament i have beengiven eyedrops to use for four weeks mydrilate 1.05% 4 times a day and maxidex 2 drops a day i also checked the medication i use for control of my blood presure on of the tablets says carefull attention with the medication and operation for cataracts the  medication id called doxazosin 1 mg i feel that becuse my surgery was carried out so quickly that this may not have been checked  properly I find it almost impossible to talk to the consultant she is just not interested.

You should ask your surgeon.  You may have more than the usual amount of inflammation.
