vitreous detachment

my daughter is 16 and was seen by an eye dr. as soon as she started to see a lot of spots in her eyes. they were to the point to wher she could not see to text on her phone.. this was in febuary. He said that it was vitreous detachment. He told me that it would clear up in 6 mo. Her vision also has decresed alot to where she needs galsses she has never needed them before. She got up this morning and the spots returned to the same degree. and the vision is worse, and she has to have a new set of glasses My question is should i take her to a Retina vitreous Dr. My husbsnd has a very good one here. he has had his vitreous gel removed due to  diabetic retinopathy ? or is this common? than you so much.

In someone so young, I would not consider a vitreous detachment trivial! Also, the continued decline in vision is concerning. I hope things turn out well for your daughter. Good luck!

Yes! Go to another doctor. A detached retina will NOT heal on its own.
