lasik and Multifocal

I have had lasik 6 years ago at age 55, now a catarct in both eyes have appeared. My Dr recomended a monofocal restor lens but will not recomend and refuses to do a multifocal restor because of the lasik.
Is there a reason why he wont due the multifocal when lasik was done previously?

Multifocal IOLS have a much higher rate of complications, reduced vision and rate of unhappy patients. I think you Eye MD is doing you a favor by insisting on a monofocal IOL.

You can go to archvies or use search feature to see all the unhappy multifocal IOL patients that have posted here.
