HI! I actually am wondering the same thing. I just got a +opk on wed. I however do not track BBT, although I really should. I have read that even if you detect your LH surge it doesn't mean for sure that you will ovulate. Only way to know for sure it by blood work. I pray that for us it does mean that we have!

Good Luck! Sorry I can't be of more help. This is only my first time with a +opk.

I was wondering if you have the symptoms (+OPK and cervical mucus) does that mean you release eggs.  Ihad IVF and when they went for egg retrieval there were no eggs.  SO if I have the symptoms of ovulation will I be releasing eggs.

Unfortunately an LH surge (or + OPK) doesn't mean that you will definitely ovulate. What day did you get your + OPK? When I get my + OPK, it takes up to 3 days for my BBT to increase.

Unfortunately you can have cycles where you dont ovulate.  I read somewhere only 9 of 12 cycles you actaully O.  That has to be why it takes some of us so LONG when we time EVERYTHING right.  super sticky baby dust

Remember that you will not see a thermal shift until the day after you ovulate.
SO, if OPK is positive today, you will probably ovulate tomorrow, and you wont see a thermal shift until Monday.

Was your OPK positive today?  Mine too, I know I will ovulate tomorrow based on past history.....   maybe we will be in TWW together.

This is my first time using OPK's. It was + on Friday then today (Sat) my morning temp had dropped.  I also did an OPK today just to be sure and it was - . Is it normal  for my temp to drop after a + OPK and should I see a shift upward tomorrow?

i actually just found out yesterday that sometimes you could get a "false postive" with OPK's.... i went to the RE for blood work cause i was cd 35, no af, and BFN....I was on clomid this month so i was sure i ovulated especially when i got my first ever postitive with the OPK... i felt like was ovulating too... maybe i did, but the nurse said that since 50mg of clomid didn't really seem to work on me cause i only produced one egg and it wasn't really mature (only 10mm), i probably didn't ovulate... i guess the clomid in my system gave me a false positive? i'm not sure why it happens....anyhow... low and behold, the day after i go see the RE,.... af shows her ugly little head..... at least no provera this cycle. I think they are going to increase my dosage with the clomid and possibly do injectibles.... anyone know anything about injectibles? i'm kinda nervous about injecting myself with anything....

It is true you can get a false positive with an OPK,  but if it is the right time for you to ovulate lets operate on the assumption that it is positve, and your OPK was positive on Friday. You should go with the first positive, even if it is positve for more than one day in the month. So, if it was positive, then you should ovulate today. If you ovualte today then there is no clear cut defined thing that your temp should do, so going down is okay.
If you ovulate today, then your temp tomorrow should go up.  If you ovulate tomorrow, then your temp monday should go up.  Dont panic unless you dont see a temp rise tomorrow or monday..... if you havent seen one by Monday then think about the fact that you may not have ovulated.  Until then, relax!!    Remember,  the temo rise you are looking for needs to be .4 degrees or more.  Let me know!!  It sounds like we may be O'ing on the same day,  we can be TWW buddies  (cheesy huh?)
