? about IUI

I am doing a clomid/IUI cycle next month. It seems like most of you have the IUI done the day after your +opk. My RE wants us to go in as soon as I get a +opk. Do you think that is too soon? How long do the washed sperm live?

Mine was different because they used HCG trigger to induce ovulation.  If I remember correctly, they game me the shot on cd 12, told me to go home and bd (that evening only) and then we went back on cd 14 for the IUI.  Best of luck to you.

I am working on my third IUI, 12dp procedure.  I take clomid days 3-7 and then when I test positive or get to day 14 I make an apt for the next day.  They do an ultrasound to see if there are mature follicules, I then get a shot to induce ovulation and then my husband goes in the morning and I go two hours later for procedure.  I am sure that there are reasons for the differences.  But this is what my protocol has been.  Good luck

For me they did two IUI's back to back as it is known...they gave me a trigger shot and asked me to come on the 2nd of the shot and doc scanned and found ovulation had not occurred, still she did IUI, then next day again she scanned and saw ovulation had occurred and then  again she did IUI...
Its another matter that it failed due to poor egg quality..
