12 days since my last provera pill, NO PERIOD - Can I start Clomid anyway??

It's been 12 days since I took my last Provera pill (took 5 pills) and I haven't gotten my period, temps are still high.
Should I go ahead and start Clomid cycle even without a period or will the hormones in my body now screw up the effect on Clomid without having had a period first?
BFN 5 days ago. 18 days of high temps.
Also, should I notice a drop in temp on the day I will get my period?  (first time charting BBT.)
Thanks!

You are incorrect. Provera can be prescribed in 5, 7, or 10 pills. All pills being 10mgs each. Rarely but possible doctors will have you double the dosage but generally it is one pill per day.

Clinically you are suposed to have a period within 14 days after the last pill taken. If you haven't then you might have one of these wrong with you:  1. You might have a blockage of some sort, usually scaring of the cervix or/and uterus.  2. Your hypothyroidal..low estrogen levels to begin with...your uterine lining isn't built up enough to actually shed ( usually because of low estrogen levels). Therefore you need to have your FSH Levels check. 3. Although provera is known to bring on a period it is very possible that you could have already achieved pregnancy hence why the provera failed..doctors have been known to give already pregnant women provera in pregnancy to counteract the risk of miscarriage..it's a medical mystery really.

Good luck! I'm on day 11 waiting for AF to arrive and only took 5 pills as well.  I have heard some times doctors will give you 5 pills one month the next 10 and maybe 5 the next...some women start immediately after the last pill and then the next time they take it won't start until after a week or so.

no doubt... wait for AF to come before you take Clomid unless Dr tells you to go ahead.  From what I have read, you really do need AF first.

I took Provera and it was a long 15-16 days after the last Provera pill before AF showed her face.  It effects different people different ways... Good luck and KUP

I would definitely wait for AF before taking clomid.  I too had to take provera to start and it took 21 days for AF to arrive.  My cycles were way long and very different from month to month.

Be patient and you too will soon have your BFP!

Not only was I on provera and clomid but I also had to take metformin, prenatal vitamins, estradiol and prochieve gel.  I got pregnant on my 2nd month of clomid!  I am currently 14 weeks.

Best of luck and sticky baby dust coming your way...

If you have not had an AF your endometrium is probably too thick to sustain a pg.  I think you need an AF before you start the clomid.

Yes your temps should go down when you start your AF.

good luck to you.
