Hi Lopezn, I wanted to post here but I think I sent you a message. Anyway, I was telling you what a close timing we have, and also the similar diagnosis of “unexplained infertility”. Is this your first IUI? Have you taken any medication to induce ovulation? I don't think I will be able to wait until next Tues for my blood test... and I want to be prepared before I get that call (the day of the blood test). The HCG trigger should be out of the system by day 14 (day before blood test)... Best luck to you!

hi. i'm also new to this. I got HCG trigger 8/15 evening and IUI 8/17.I started progesterone 8/18. So far I've had random light cramps and have also felt cramps after orgasms... not sure if this is normal though. I have my blood test next Monday and wont test earlier so I dont get my hopes up. I've been ttc for 2 1/2 years and have an unexplained fertility problem.

Hi, I'm new here. It's good to know I'm not alone. Infertility *****! Sorry if I have spelling mistakes, I'm Italian. I'm 33, DH is 34, we've been TTC x 3 1/2 yrs. Got pg naturally after trying 18 months (after I failed 2 IUI with CLomid) but MC at 8 wk (after (+) heart beat); 6 months later I got pg again (naturally again!) but MC again at week 8 (and again, after (+) heart beat). They don't know the cause. All the test results are normal (including genetics and HSG). We've been TTC since then (1 1/2 yrs) with no results, and another frustrated IUI with Clomid last December. This month my doctor recommended Follistim (FSH injections) and IUI. I had 4 mature follicles; got HCG trigger 8/16 evening and IUI 8/18. I started having sore boobs and menstrual- like cramps starting 2-3 days post IUI, which I think is 2ry to the meds because is too early. I started progesterone 8/21. On pIUI day 6 I had a very painful cramp after an orgasm, that lasted like 5 minutes. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

yayyy CONGRATS!!!!! I'm so happy for you! I know it's the best feeling to finally have that BFP!!! Your beta number sounds good...with my ds it was 55.

I just got my beta back......BFP!!!!!!!!!!  I can't believe it!  It was 45. Does that sound good for 14 dpiui?  I'm still in shock....My hands won't stop shaking and I keep randomly crying and laughing at the same time.  Thank God kids aren't here yet so I"m alone in my classroom!

I'm 14 dpiui today.  My boobs have been hurting pretty badly since about 5 dpo, and I've had twingy cramps since then, but both of those could be a result of meds they have me on (estrogen and progesterone). I should get my results by 2 or 3 today.  This is going to be the longest 5 hours of my life!

I had my 2nd IUI today (20/08), triggered on 18/08, so officially in 2WW.

Last time i had cramps for almost a week after IUI, but the day after IUI it was pretty more, but still bearable.

Anyone who had IUI on same day??

One more day! I have my beta tomorrow morning so I should hear from the Re with results by tomorrow afternoon.  I'm so nervous!  I've managed to hold off testing so far, so I have NO idea what the outcome will be.  It seems like every time I test though, AF comes, so I figured maybe if I didn't test, she wouldn't come? lol

AF started this morning.....

So back to Clomid tomorrow and then the injections and go through the whole thing once again.

The doctors says that i have plenty of follicular phases and my response is good to the medication...the sperm count was 19 million..so what could be the problem :(

Anyway keeping my fingers crossed and going for the second attempt.

My first appointment is Thursday with fertility dr. From all the research I can find, and the opinion of my ob/gyn...and dh's urologist...It looks like IVF will be our best option now. I know that we've only tried iui twice, but the past two times...everything looked great on my end, but we just struggle so much with dh's sperm count. One month it was 3 million and then 5 million....the motility isn't good and his uro says that men that have this issue very rarely succeed with iui:( But I'm anxious to hear what re says to do. We are absolutely obsessed with having at least one child of our own...We aren't against adoption, but just want so badly to have one on our own.... Please keep me posted on what you do next...

Hi!  I am new to this.  We had our first IUI last week.  I am 7 days post.  I had my prog. test today and it was above 40, hopefully this is good.  I really don't feel very educated on all of this.  I go in next Frid for my beta.  I took gonal f and ovidrel, they had me do another ovidrel shot today, so i don't think i can take a hpt without getting a false pos.  I hope all goes well for all of you girls, and i am excited i found somewhere where I can communicate with others going through similar things.  My family and friends all get pregnant if they blink and it makes it hard to talk to them.  

Also, happy early b-day andria, i share the same b-day as you!

Ok so my re called me this morning and said he doesn't think I need to do the lupron & gonal-f...he also doesn't want me to take the month off. He said he is confident that another round of 100mg of clomid and maybe 150iu of gonal f will do the trick! If not then he'll just up the dosage of gonal-f until we get it right! So my baseline apt is on thur.. And I can start the clomid that night (cd4) I soooo happy that I don't have to waist this month away!!!! I just might get a great bday present after all (sept 19)

Oh how exciting..... I wanna go!!! LOL But yes I understand every word you said! This ttc thing is just too crazy & stressful...more than I ever imagined!! But I keep telling myself how much it will be worth it in the end!

So are you thinking of looking into another RE?? You are wanting to do another round of IUI right? Does your INS cover the iui? If I had your INS I'd definately take advantage of the accupuncture..I hear so much good things about it! It can't hurt to try right? But I know my INS (tricare) would never pay for that! Heck it won't even pay for the iui..it does thankfully cover my meds & all tests, so I am thankful for that!

Oh yea and what kind of skin reaction did you have?

You never know!!!!  & yeah it must be the meds!  I have had one strange 2 weeks+!  break-outs, weird skin reactions, & then the usual pg symptoms!
Part of me wants to AF to come like NOW, then part of me wants to not start for a few more days so I can get my eggy's (AKA ducks) all in order!
I went online on healthnet (my ins) & saw that I have 2-3 RE's under my group :)  & acupuncturist too..... double :))
My time really is running out.........we have a big summer holiday planned for next summer.....we will be going to Tuscany Italy, about 40 min. outside the city of Florence:)
for 4 weeks, in a beautiful Villa ( kinda booked it after my mc, I was so sad) & I was REALLY hoping we would have a 8-12 week old w/us!  I can push our dates back a few weeks, but this is not working out as I planned :<!!!!  
The thing is, life has to go on beyond crazy ttc!  I/we can't put our lives on hold forever, but on the other side I feel like I need to do everything within reason to make this happen.  It's so hard, so physically, emotionally & financially consuming.......

But anyways, to answer your question yes my boobs still feel funny! And I didn't get any af cramps until about an hour before af...which is totally weird for me?? Maybe it's the meds??

Quick question for you..........Did your bb's still feel funny til AF came tonight?  Or any other "symptoms"?
My bb's feel funny off n on, not hurting but just every now n then sorta tingle, & my heads been hurting again.  Maybe it's cuz my prog.. is coming down & estr. going up to start AF.
Just curious.
I'm still not getting AF cramps, which is strange for me..........
I just hope she doesn't come like a big thunder storm & all @ once!
I'm still not quite sure what to do.  I've been reading all sorts of stuff & everything I read says to do IUI 3-4 times.  I'm gonna call my insurance in the am & see if I can see an RE in my group ASAP.

Well my AF came this morning so I called to set up my next appt and they don't wanna see me until Sept 8th cause I guess we are going to use lupron along with gonal f this next cycle & apparently you have to start the lupron before af? I don't know much about that drug so I have no idea why...all I know is I'm waisting a month of ttc & I'm not too thrilled about it!! BUT I guess if it works better then it will all be worth it right??? Ughh why can't this be easy??? LOL

I'm so sorry ladies. I'm officially out of the race now too. Spotting already and waiting for AF to start tomorrow. Thinking we might take a break for a month and trying iui one last time before moving on. Hang in there! I'll be thinking of you!

I'm so sorry :(  I know how you feel!  I too have been all over the map this weekend!
I stopped my prog. on Sunday am, so I should get AF by wednesday.  I feel super tired, & my bb's still feel weird :-/
I hate all these hormones they make you feel pregnant til the end :<
