About Clomid?

What do you have to do or how do you ask your Dr to get some Clomid? My frined said your hubby has to have a sperm check first befor you get clomid to see if he is the problem....Does anyone know? Please Help...Thinking about trying it.

My doctor would not prescribe me Clomid until I had a complete workup such as ulatrasound and lab work. My husband also had to do a semen analysis. After all what is the sense of a fertilty aid such as Clomid if the husband is the one with the issues.

Clomid is then prescribed for women who are having trouble ovulating on their own. Most docs once u begin Clomid will then monitor you with lab work and ultrasound.

I am on my 3rd Clomid cycle with IUI. I also had a complete work up. I just told my gyn dr that I was ready to start a family because I have PCOS she referred me to my RE dr and he started me on Clomid as soon as all the test come back. My bf also has a few issues with his motility and formation. I wish you the best of luck. Just ask.

Yes, after 3 rounds of Clomid I got pregnant with my daughter. Went back on it to get preggers with baby #2. Was placed on 150mg of Clomid since both the 50 and 100mg failed to get me to ovulate. Well long story short had back surgery so I took a 2 month break from Clomid and surprise-surprise I got preggers on my own. I am now 6 months along with a baby boy. :)

I am going through this right now. My hubby is going for a sperm analysis tomorrow and then I am going back to the Dr. on Dec. 8th to be put on Clomid. I have PCOS and we have been trying for a while now (1.5 years)
