Anybody taking estrogen for thin lining

My RE seems to be obsessed with my uterine lining.  And I don't really understand why.  My lining has ALWAYs measured thin and I got pg before using IUI with no problem, so I don't understand why he is so focused on my lining. He keeps giving me estrogen to thicken the lining but it is slowing and halting my follicle development.  Last cycle it drug my ovulation out to like cd19.This cycle it is cd16 and I have no (zero) follicle development yet.  Prior to all this estrogen treatment I ovulated on cd12 to 14, ALWAYS on my own without any meds!! So today when I didn't have any follie development he put me on follistim meds and I will keep taking the estrogen vaginally.  Which is strange because it makes me have neon blue/green discharge.

Does this sound right to anyone?? Anyone taking follistim and estrogen?  Anyone taking estrogen and still developing mature follies?  Anybody have any insight or advice on this at all?

Everything I've read on the whole lining issue, is that is all speculation anyway.  Like if it is thin, it is less than ideal but they don't really know how much impact it has or not.

Any thoughts??

Hannah I read in different sites and also my RE thinks that there should be no problem with a lining of 6.Do you have a thinner one?if not I have to agree with you that it does not make sense.
keep me posted,

Hey miky!!

I can't remember every time, but I don't think it has been less than 6 and if it was, not by much.  If something doesn't happen this cycle, I'm going to start getting more aggressive.  This is the first cycle (this time around) that I have taken any stim meds at all.  The only reason he gave them to me is because I had no follie growth.  If things don't work out this cycle, I'm going to tell him I want to take stim meds every cycle until we get the bfp.

How are you doing?  Are you going to give IVF another try?

I went through  ivf and was taking estrogen to thicken the lining after my retrieval (i.e. after O).  Since implantation does not happen for a few days after O I guess estrogen has time to do its magic.

My lining on the day of my retrieval was not very thick (around 7.5) but my ob did not seem to be all that concerned.  I was taking estrogen pills because it's what all ivf patients do not because he thought there was a problem.  I got my bfp so I guess he was right.

Good luck to you with follistim.  I hope it helps follicle development.
