BBT and PG

So, this is our 2nd time TTC. Our first baby, a little boy, we lost at 20 weeks. It's been more than a year since TTC and I have forgotten so many things!

Do temps automatically go up when you are PG, even if you're only a week along? Or do they go up a bit later? We BD'd around the time I thought I may have O'ed but my cycle has been very confusing since the D&E in August. My temps the last 2 days have been around 97.6ish. If I were PG would my temps be higher at this point? If I did O, then I'm 6DPO. I can test with FRER next Friday, which seems like such a long time from now!

Any advice is welcome!!!

SSBD!!!!!

Hi Sue!  It's been a while indeed. I hope it doesn't take long for you. You should see a clear jump in temp when you o and it will stay elevated. Sometimes, not always, after implant you see a 2nd rise in temps. My chart did that sometime back and sure enough bfp. Unfortunatelly, it only lasted a week. I am praying hard for you and dh!

Hi! I think it varies a bit from person to person when it comes to pregnancy temperatures. After you ovulate, your temps will go up and remain high until you get your period...but if they do not drop and you're 18 dpo, you're most probably pregnant! Whether the temps have risen even higher or not. The temps just have to stay above the coverline. I've seen some pregnancy charts where they have the triphasic pattern (three levels of temperatures...before o, after o, and after implantation), while others stay in the same range from ovulation on.

As for the tugging feeling, I'm not sure, but when I got pregnant (I've had two miscarriages), I had AF-type cramps a few days before AF was due, and I usually don't get that until I start bleeding. So that could be a good sign :-)

Good luck to you!!!
