BBT question

well, after i got AF on July 16 i went into "oh well" mode and stopped temping - i just wanted to get my mind off it for a little bit.

i have like 43 day cycles or something like that. i am on cycle day 15 and just started retemping this morning so i can at least see when I ovulate. is it worth it at this point, or should i just not temp this month? im still at my low temps and dont expect ovulation for a couple weeks at least (usually around day 28)...so i figure it will still work, ill still see a rise?? THOUGHTS?

Thanks ladies. hope everyone is doing well this cycle and keeping heads up. I had a hard time this last AF show, but my chin is up and im trying to stay positive! Thanks, Heather

Hello!  Havent talked to you in awhile. Im sorry that you are still struggling, but it will happen soon, I am sure of it.   Have you been temping for awhile??  After a few months of temping I was able to see that my temps before and after O were pretty consistent from month to month. If that is the case for you, then if you start temping right now you may be able to see it fit into the trend of previous months. If not, Im with Tina, it cant hurt, and if you havent O'd yet, which it doesnt sound like you have, then you will still see a rise at O. Good luck!

I think it would be fine to start temping now. Yes, you should still see a rise at o. Are you keeping your temps on the ovulation tracker here?

First of all, I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry your last cycle didn't work out.  I've been there MANY times before and I know the disappointment it can bring.  All we can do is pick ourselves up, move on, and try our best to stay positive and have faith!

As far as your temps, I think you'd be perfectly fine starting now and temping throughout the rest of your cycle.  Since you have done it in the past, you know what range your temps usually are pre-O and post-O, and like you said, you don't expect to O for a while, so you're just in the waiting phase anyway.  To be honest, there are some months where I would just start temping a few days before I expect O and keep going just until I made sure that my temps rose and stayed up, and then I'd quit.  Sometimes it gets too stressful doing it every day.

I wish you lots of luck and hopefully at the end of this cycle, you'll get a better outcome!  Take care.  :)
