Hi
Ya i had same problem even i use morning and evening 2times a day opks then also i could not got surge. Actually i could not track for 2 months then i thought i was not ovulating .Then i went for blood test to make sure i was ovulating or not at RE office. Blood test on CD22 progesterone level which showed i was ovulating .It was 20.2. So dont assume that if your not getting surge means you are not ovulating .Sometimes opks does not work for some people. So take a blood test at doctor OB/gyn or RE .Sometimes Lh is smaller then also it is hard to detect LH. Good luck natalie .
That is helpful, I never thought of using more than one per day. I bought the cheapies this time so I started to think they were defective. The instructions just say to limit fluid intake for about 2 hours and the best times to test are 2pm -8pm. If I don't get a positive on the opk, does it mean I did not O for this cycle? Assuming I test every day from cd11 through cd17.
You should go by the manufacturer's instructions. Some are designed for fmu and some for mid am. I have short surges sometimes, so I often test 2x (or more) per day. I usually buy cheap opks for this purpose.
Thanks, I'm just not having any luck. I had a mc in Feb and started using the OPK's in April. I'll try testing earlier tomorrow. I'll be cd13 and I have a regular 28 day cycle, so I should see a positive soon I would think. Maybe I'm not O'ing.
Thanks again
I ususally use my OPK first thing in the morning...between CD10 - CD17. Always got positive .
good luck
