I believe that twins in the same sac come from the same egg, not 2 seperate ones.
Two babies in on sack means identical twins. Two babies in different sacks means fraternal twins, i.e. they came from 2 different eggs and have completely different genes. Your #'s are high and at 5 weeks they probably missed a kid or two. I remember that Brown Eyed Gurl saw two sacks on some early u/s but 3 later on. Or may be she saw one kid, then two, then three. Something like that.
So, you may have a baby in hiding somewhere.
Congrats on high HCG!! I am so excited for you!
Thank you so much!
Helen72- I am hoping your right. Of course I am fine with one healthy baby. But, since it has been so hard to get pregnant, I am okay with more too! I will keep you updated. Thank you for your support, you have had a lot of answers and support for me and I appreciate that! Thank you!
you really don;t know till u/s
my first transfer I had one - and my numbers were outrageous - all more than doubled
next - perfect doubling and much lower - twins
this one - outrageous - higher than yours - but it was the early morning scikness that told me it was twins
when is HB u/s?
I have an u/s on Tuesday which will be right at the beginning of 6 weeks, hoping to see h/b
Do twins run in your family or you hubby's family? If the ydo you could have identical twins. WOW, how exciting. TWINS!!!!! I wish you all the luck.
Love,
Jenea'
No twins in the family, we had 3 mature follicles so we are thinking possibly fraternal, but who knows. I know I will have to wait until Tuesday, but that is just so far.....
Well, I hope it all works out the way you want. I know about waiting, it is a long time. Good Luck.
Love,
Jenea'
Yay! I am so glad your numbers are rising like that! I think there's more then 1 in there, i hope! :) Wouldn't that be awesome! Let us know on tues, i know you will! :) I hope you finally see the baby(ies) and see that h/b! Good luck!!!!
Your #s would indicate to me that you have vat least twins in there. I was pg with triplets, and at 14dpo my HCG was 588!!!! The policy at my docs (and at many other's, I've heard) is that they won't even do an u/s until 6-7 weeks, as things are still forming and it can cause stress and confusion.
AT worst, you have one super powerhouse baby, and at best, you have twins!!!
Keep us posted. . .
