Can it be a false positive?

Ok, so we did FET last Tuesday and I'm suposed to go for my BETA this Wed. Well, I have been sick for 2 days and thought to myself, if I'm this sick it will surley show up. So, I tested, yes 4 days early. I got a BFP on a Digital Clear Blue Easy. It said Pregnant! I am so excited and very happy, but at the same time is it possible for this t obe a false Positive? It was a frozen cycle, so I didn't trigger or anything. I am on progesterone and estrogen and was taking Medrol and a Zpac until about 2 days ago. Can either of those cause a false positive? I have been very sick and dizzy for 2 days, and we transfered 3 embryos.

What do you all think?

I will not have my results on wed however, I chose to do them a day early to get them done in the local office rather than go to their out of state office to test thurs. So, I have to wait until thurs anyway after 3:30pm to get the results. Now however, I did go behind my RE's back and had a quantative beta ordered for myself through another clinic and that was done on friday. I will have those results tomorrow as soon as I get out of bed and go get them lol. I am seriously considering requesting another and testing tomorrow with the results by tues. So by the time my RE's office get around to telling me something thurs afternoon I will have calmed down all the anxiety. I believe the progesterone shots aometimes can make you a little wirery/easily exciteable lol! Ah well, I will keep you posted and make sure you let me know about you beta. Thanks again for words it was much needed as well as the advise. The site was a big PLUS also!
You hang in there also and tell those embies to stick, it is okay cause mommy says soo. 2009 has to be the year of growth, new things, new births and hopefuls answered.

Thank You! I can't wait to hear your results Wed either! My embryos were 5 day blasts and we had assisted hatching, that could explain the early BFP. I say if you feel like testing, then test. As long as you realise it may not be accurate if you get a BFN. I have done 3 cycles (2 IVF and 1 FET) I have gotten PG everytime, but lost the other 2. Hoping this one sticks. Anyway, my point is that the first time I tested the same morning as my BETA and got a BFN, but my BETA was BFP. I believe it was 130. So, even if you get a BFN Wed morning don't give up. My modo always is "It isn't over until the Dr says it's over." So, hang in there girl.

Also, I heard somewhere that FET tend to be more successful if this helps any. I just feel the baby vibes for you!!! Many many Blessings too you!

Thank you!!!!!!!!!! BFP times two your way!! lol I triggered on the 8th and did 3day transfer on the 10th no blast because only 3 of my embies fertilized. I feel like doing HPT until I go on wednsday lol just because. I did one today and it was a BFN that was very very faint neg. I used a cheapo that I am pretty sure has no name because I cannot remember seeing one. But, I figured it would not be accurate at this stage, so what the heck, I bought 5 and I am seriously thinking of testing daily even twice a day until I either see a BFP or wednsday come lol! At some point in my life, I would like to see a BFP at least once, even if it is not accurate, just to see it say YES!!! I am 36 and my hubby just turned 51 5days ago.

Did you transfer blasts?  I think I read it can take up to 10 days for the trigger to leave your system, but the lab has a system they use so they will know if it is the trigger or not. Your numbers have to be at a certain level for them to consider it to be a BFP and by that point the Trigger would not be at that level. So, they will know for sure if you are PG. I have heard of women that test until they get a BFN, just to make sure the trigger is gone, then they start testing again to see if they get their BFP. If you triggered on the 10th and you tested today you might get a faint line, or you might get a BFN. I hope this awnsers your questions, and best of luck. I get my BETA on Wed also.

BIG CONGRATS TOO YOU!!!! I hope you get TWO lol!!! That is wonderful news thank you for sharing it with all us. I have a question for All, I had my transfer on may 10th and triggered with (2) 250 ovidrel shots. How long will those stay in my system first? And what at this day the 17th would a HPT show? a BFN or a BFP? I am curious as to what I should be seeing and when I should expect to see opposite results. My beta is on Wed of this week and that to me seems to be a bit soon. If they have to tell me I have a BFN because they tested too soon, I would rather not know.

I think this is your time my friend and if you did not did the HCG hormone trigger shot, you must be preggo. I could not be any more happy for you. I remember this past years of struggles and being pissed but our miracles are happening. Lots of love and hugs friend and keep in touch.

I would retake the test on Tuesday w/FMU to see if it's positive before the beta just to make sure - I too believe you're pregnant based on the fact that you didn't take the trigger - jen

OMG!  Congrats =)  I agree with the ladies, since you didn't trigger, it sounds like a BFP!!!  Yes, definitely call your RE tomorrow morning & go in for an early beta.  It would be too difficult to wait til Wednesday =)  Congrats & best wishes!!!!

No, they won't be opened till monday. Do you think I should call them? My husband thinks I should just wait till wed now and be happy w/ my result. After all it was 3 in the afternoon, I had been drinking water all day and it is 4 days early. So, he figures those numbers must be high. I am going to test again on Monday though, just to make sure.

I totally agree!! If you didn't do the trigger, then there's absolutely NO way it could be a false positive! Congrats girlie!! You're pregnant!!! Wooo hoooooooo!!!!!! :)

If you didn't get a trigger I would say you are defenitly preggo. Maybe double check with a first response just to make sure. Congrats though you're going to be a mommy.

I do not know how to say this to you.. Last year I did HPT on Digital Clear Blue Easy and did get BFP... but then it turn out to be BFN on next test.  I suggest you do another test in different brand to see if still show BFP...
