Clomid Side Effects in the Luteal Phase

Hey everyone!  As you may know from the TWW post, I'm 4 DPO.  This is my first cycle on Clomid, and I don't know if I have ever ovulated before.  If I have it has been over 7 years since I did.  So, I'm not too familiar with how I should feel in the tww.  I know I don't have pg symptoms yet, but I'm hoping that what I am feeling is from the clomid.  I can't imagine it's normal to have sore nipples (OUCH) and a little tngling feeling in my boobs this early, and the cramping...sometimes I don't want to move, but it's not sharp like it was with O.  And...all of a sudden I have tons of creamy white cm with the cramping.  Is this bad?  Nothing is wrong, right?  What do you all feel in your luteal phase of clomid?  I'm only on 50mg, so it's like I have a high dosage.  Thank you:)  Baby dust to all!

I don't know much about clomid. DOes it help you Ovulate? Anyway, my only symptom during 2ww is mild, low cramping. Dr. says its the uterus stretching.  I felt it 7 days before af was schedualed.
Good luck and baby dust to you. I am in the 2ww also but i just has a miscarriange at about 5 weeks so am not very hopeful this month.

Clomid made my cycles longer, but I don't remember any side effects except for hot flashes at night.

Hey, i just read your post in 2ww. Clomid does me the exact way that you are discribing. Nipples are a definate OUCH!!!!!! I start it 1-2 dpo and then it continues and covers my entire bb. I'm only on 25mg clomid. I can't imagine 50 or 100. Whew!!
I guess what we are feeling is normal for *us*. I haven't heard anyone else say.

Thanks for your input...I'm just really confused.  Clomid was prescribed as a last chance by my OBGYN before sending me to a specialist.  It's not monitored and no blood will be drawn...nothing.  I just call her when i get AF or a BFP...not getting hopes up for the BFP so soon, but I'll be pumped if I do.  Anyway, my dr did a great job of describing what can happen as far as the risks, etc, but didn't really tell me what to expect, so I'm sort of lost.  I don't know anyone else personally who has taken it, so any help or advice is so appreciated!  Thank you!

Yep, I get the headaches too. I'm like you I get them the first day or two on the pills. I don't get them in luteal though. Maybe this will be our month! Something is definatley going on in my uterus! I just hope af isn't getting her bags unpacked for a leisurely visit!

I'm on it this month (100 mg) and I'm now in the TWW and I really don't have many symptoms.  I didn't really have any side effects from taking the clomid either though...

I had the headaches when i took it too...but like stillwaiting said, not in the luteal.  I stocked up on excedrin after the third day with one knowing that if I'm on this for a few months and have the headaches every day from cd5-9, I'm going to need a lot! Maybe this is our month??  I hate to say it, so I'm just going to tell myself that we are just experiencing pre AF cramps...10 days before AF...lol.  It sounded good didn't it?  I just can't handle getting my hopes up.

This is my first month on Clomid (50mg).  I'm 7dpo today and no symptoms really, just a little crampy and bloated. I kind of wish my bbs were sore so I'd have more hope of a bfp.  hee hee
I also am not being monitored by ultrasound. Only a progesterone blood test to see if I actually ovulated.  I really hope so, will find out Friday.  I wish I had x-ray vision to see what was going on in there!!

wouldn't x ray vision be awesome?  I think that a lot...there has to be a way to find out.  Why isn't it more common to check things out?  THere have to be enough crazy women out there (like me) who want to know so badly and are willing to go through the ultrasound or test to find out, right?  anyway, I don't think the sore boobs have anything to do with hope for a BFP or not.  If they are increasing in soreness in a week, then maybe, but this early, not so much.  You have just as good of a chance of getting a bfp as I do, especially if you bd'd at the right time.  Hey, did anyone have a fallback temp on 2dpo?  it's making fertility friend put my O day 2 days later than I swear I O.  Like I said earlier, I totally felt it and the pain subsided immediately to just cramps, which continue today.  I did the override thing, but still am curious if I did the right thing.  Baby dust to all!!!!!!!!!!

White CM in the LP is normal.  It's the extra progesterone doing that.

Also it's a good idea to make your doctor give you at least one ultrasound to see how your ovaries are responding to the Clomid and to check the uterine lining.  Sometimes too much Clomid can thin it out a bit.  Also Clomid can sometimes give a cyst.  It goes away on its own but you want to be sure.
