Clomid

Hey Girlies,
So I just recently took my first round of clomid and and have been doing the OPK's and have yet to recieve a positive Surge. I've been BDing everyday since the 11th day of my cycle and have been testing since then as well and still nothing. Am I bding for nothing or how long does is usually take to get a surge and if it takes a while to get a positive surge, why does the R.E. recommend BDing on day 12 14 16 ....? Oh Yeah it is day 14 for me. Am I being silly and impatient or could there be a problem. Thanks for reading and any help is good help. I appreciate all help and comments.

Thanks
JusRobin

I took clomid for 7 months.  the highest doseage was 200mg for the last 2 months.   i KNOW i ovulated (keeping track of bbt), but EVERY single opk i tried NEVER showed a surge.  It was very frustrating b/c I knew that I did O.  i was using $tree kind, maybe that had something to do with it.  but the first month i used cbe (i think that was it) and also never got a +.

We can't handle 3 times a day even though that's what the doc says - we are doing good to get it in twice a day.  I don't know if the sperm loses its potency, and have often wondered that.  I might ask doc next time I go.

Wouldn't sperm lose some potency?

Most everyone I have talked to ovulated late on clomid (cd17 or after).  I was one of the people who did not.  While on clomid, I ovulated on cd13.  One other thing, my doc recommends waiting until the LH surge and then BDing for 3 days straight 3 times a day.  Then wait an entire month til the next cycle to let the sperm build up.  A lot of his patients have had success with this, although as of yet, I am not one of them.

I have read countless posts where o was later than normal. It seems to be very common. I guess I was one of the lucky few that o'd early. This is round 3 for me, we'll see if is still early.

I'm on day 20 and no Ovulation yet.  This is my first round of clomid 50.
We are BDing every other day and using the OPKs to test -  I got a matching line today, so I think it may be coming soon.
I wouldn't worry there is a problem until after day 23 or so if you still haven't O'd then maybe consult the dr. to see what your next steps may be.

I am with you ...first round of Clomid and have yet to O and it is Day 17.  Before Clomid, I always ovulated on Day 17.  Soooo.....  I am going for a blood test next week to check my prog. to see where I am...  My Dr. told me on Friday that if this round of Clomid @ 50mg. does not make me O, I will do 100mg. next month.  It is frustrating because I O'd without the drugs.  Supposedly, the Clomid will give me a "better egg." But if I don't O?????

I've done clomid 5 times now (whew!) and each time I O'd between CD's 18-21  In fact, my first month it was CD21 and all the other CD18 or 19  so be patient and good luck!
