Clomid=Hangover

I have been having about 50 day cycles, do this month I started taking provera! Took the last pill yesterday! Today is day 3 and I took my first dose of clomid! I feel so tired, like a really bad hangover! Is this normal to feel this bad? Is it all in my head? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Hi,

Thanks so much for clarifying that!  I would say just keep yourself positive and don't worry about what was said on some of the other posts about lining and hostile environment.  If your doctor didn't think the med were right for you then she wouldn't put you on them.  You have to not think about that type of thing, If you go into ttc with all negative crap in your mind then it will have a negative effect on you.

Stay positive and have fun!

Hey, thank you guys for responding! Sorry for the confusion! I have really long cycles 50+ days! Had been TTC for about 1 and 1/2 years and in April somehow someway i got pregnant! Went in for small amount of dark spotting and ultrasound showed no heartbeat:( then had a D&C in July! So my cycles post D&C has been about the same so i mentioned trying clomid and she agreed! So here i am waiting to start day 45 and so i called her and she prescribed Provera for 10 days. On the 5th day of taking it i started so i called and she told me to take maybe one more pill to make sure that i had a good flow and to count the first day of bleeding as day 1 and start clomid on days 3-7. This is new to me and is so very confusing especially after reading different peoples post! I also read that clomid can cause thinning of the uterine lining which can cause m/c and failed implantation??? Also that it creates a hostile environment that can actually kill the sperm in 30% of women! What the crap, should i be concerned? I have read about Femara and it has none of these side affects? Why would they just not use this instead?

First off if you were taking provera most people take it for 10 days!!  usually your period will come with 3-10days after your last pill.  Your cycle day 1 would be first day of your period NOT 3 days after last provera pill!!!!

Please clarify

OK i am confused!  you were taking provera, and you had AF while still taking it?

I was on provera for 7 days and the 3 days later i got AF........Then clomid start day 5

My question is: did you get AF while still taking provera and is that safe? I am just confused cuz you said you took your last pill yesterday and you were day 3 and took clomid.

Suggestion:  My first round of clomid 50mg was in Sept.....I took it at night and the only side effects I experienced during the day was a few hot flashes...Taking it at night helps you miss some of the side effects

Everyones experience with Clomid is different!

I had lots of symptoms from Clomid.  Really bad PMT symptoms, cramping, the lot.

Yes, a lot of women find clomid really affects them, and their moods and energy levels.

Hope it works for you though.

Clomid didn't work for me.  But Femara (letrozole) did and didn't have the side effects of clomid.  Ask your doctor about using this if clomid doesn't work.
