Confused

I have been trying to conceive from past 4 months. This time my period id delayed by 10 days now. I am always on time. HPT is negative and I went to see the doctor. She did a follicular test which showed no eggs fertilized so not pregnant. She wrote me Glyciphage, flovite and endogest(which I have to take from day 16 of my mensuration cycle.) I am confused whether to take these pills or not. Side-effects if any? If not pregnant why my period is delayed, I am not under any stress or anxiety. Shall I wait for few more days and see what's happening or take the pills directly?

I had my period much much late on 7th of feb(should have been on 23rd jan)..
Thanks for all the information on the tablets..Now in order to calculate my ovulation days, shall i consider 7th feb as first day of my mensuration cycle or what? Because generally I start my period on 23rd of every month and am never late, unlike this time..

Hi there,
Glyciphage is metformin used in insulin resistance.Endogest is used to restore normal menstrual periods which have stopped for several months and it progesterone .Metformin is used in polycystic ovarian disease for managing insulin resistance. Irregular ovulation can affect your periods. It is best to get a pelvic scan done and discuss your concerns with your gynecologist. Do keep me posted.
Best luck and take care!
