I am so very sorry to hear what happened to your son. Absolutely heartbreaking. Are your cycles normal? And how long have you been trying to get pregnant again? If it's been a long time, I would probably start by setting up an appointment with a specialist. A couple of other things to try, if you haven't already are OPKs (ovulation tests...which will tell you when your two most fertile days are) and BBT charting (basal body temperature...which will confirm ovulation after the fact). Also, there is always a possibility that the problem lies with your partner, so a semen analysis would probably be a good idea, too.
Hi Heather..So happy to hear from you as support is really what i need right now.My cycle is normal enough,i might be 2-5 days late some months but thats it.I havent tried the ovulation kits.Have you tried them? x
Yes, the ovulation kits are great! They really do work, and the fact that they give you a positive 24-48 hours before ovulation (or so), gives you a chance to get the timing perfect! Of course, there's still no guarantee...but at least you know that you're trying at the right time of the month.
You could always try the ovulation tests for a few months and see, and then if nothing happens, then maybe consider seeing a specialist (for women under 35, they generally recommend seeing a specialist after one year of trying). A specialist (usually called an RE...Reproductive Endocrinologist) can do a lot of tests to make sure all is OK and also help you maximize your chances with monitoring and medications. And when I say medication, it could be something as simple as clomid, which is an ovulation-enhancing pill you take for five days in the begining of each cycle. Best of luck with everything!
