Diminished ovarian reserve at age 33

Hello everyone... I was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with this same condition.  I am 33 and trying to get pregnant.  My fsh was normal back in march so I was not expecting my fsh to be 15 this past month with low antral follical count to go along with it. I've been going through infertiltiy since December of 2007.  I was scheduled for ivf this month but we stopped my stim meds due to 3 follicals not as large or muture as my dominate follical.  So after I start my menstrual cycle we will do a follical count on day 2 and start over.   After two failed iui's I'm hoping this will work for us.  We also are dealing with low sperm count.  So wish us luck!!!!!!!!!

My first IVF cycle was cancelled too because of lack of stimulation - I couldn't get those follies to get big enough but I was 10 years older than you too - at your age, I would think your odds of getting pg w/IVF are lot higher than mine even w/a high FSH number.

I am 36 and my first IVF attempt was cancelled due to poor stimulation ( 2 follicles were resonding).  My antral follicle count was 10 and the other levels were normal.  They believe that the Lupron over-supressed me.  While Lupron is used a bunch, this is apparently a very common side effect and without any indication of egg reserve.  If you used Lupron, you may want to talk with your physician about a different protocol.  I will be trying an IVF in November/December using a protocal with Ganirelix.  My doctors seemed cautiously optomistic and assured me that his does not mean I have a diminished ovarian reserve.  I am also dealing with male factor.
