Does increasing clomid dosage move up your O date?

If someone was on 50 mg of clomid and did not ovulate, then went to 100 mg of clomid and ovulated on CD 14, would their ovulation date move up with 150 mg of clomid?  My friend had her clomid dosage upped to 150 mg this month and her nurse said she will probably ovulate on CD 12 now and she is concerned because her husband will be out of town until CD 13.  What is your experience/input?  Thanks!

I've never done the clomid challenge test, but if your doc wants you taking 100mg, then take both pills together. I always took clomid before bed so that the side effects were less during the day.

HI..I also have a question about clomid, but for some reason it won't let me post, I keep getting an error and not sure why...but I thought I would post on here since you all seem familiar with clomid:

I am going to be doing the clomid challenge test. My presciption for clomid came as 50 mg and I am suppose to take 2 a day for 5 days. Do you know if it is ok to take them both at the same time, or do I need to do one in am and one in pm? Do I need to take them on a full stomach or empty? Also, can anyone tell me what results they have had from this test and what is considered good and what is not so good? I am doing this test b/c my FSH was 8.6 which anything over 9 they say is a red flag for early menapause.
Thanks for any help :)

Planning your BD'ing around O is going to be kind of hard then.

Well to know exactly when you ovulate, you really need to chart anyway. Are you charting your temps?

I was just using my experience with OPK's as evidence that increasing the dose didn't change when I ovulated.

Hi...I was first on 100mgs of Clomid, CD3-7..but then never O'ed.

OB/GYN then upped my dosage to 150mgs CD3-7...and again...same problem. It was then that she referred me to go see an RE.

RE then did the whole fertility workup to get me going and I started up on the Clomid Challenge again. Was given 150mgs of Clomid but to take it on CD5-9. This time I did "O", but because I don't have a fallopian tube on my right side and follies were the ones mature on right side, RE did not give me the trigger shot or IUI to follow, because he felt it would be a waste.

Moving to my 4th round of Clomid, this time at 200mgs, RE told me to take it on CD4-8.

I went in for my U/S on Saturday, January 13, 2007 and had a follie that was 14mm on the left side with several 6mm ones. On the right side there was a follie that was 10mm and also seveeral at 6mm's.

RE said that I had not "O'ed" yet...b/c follies weren't mature yet, but to come back for another U/S in a few days.

The few days led to yesterday, and when I had my 2nd U/S done this cycle...low and behold...my follies ALL DISAPPEARED!!!

RE said that she doesn't have ANY CLUE where they went and does not believe that I had "O'ed" yet...because my follies weren't mature yet based on my U/S this past Saturday.

So it's hard to say if I really "O'ed", because according to RE and "science"...I should have been ready to O yesterday in order to get my trigger shot...but it all vanished.

Increasing the dosage did not change my ovulation day, but most women don't ovulate on exactly the same cycle day each month. I always got a + OPK on CD 12 or 13 on 50 mg, and the same was true on 100 mg.

I did notice that the earlier in my cycle- days 3-7 as opposed to days 5-9- the earlier I ovulated.
