Yes. Are they blue or pink line tests? In my own experience, the blue line tests are famous for "false positives" which are really evap. lines.
They are most likely evap lines, which is why the directions say not to look at them after 10 minutes. And I agree with alikat - blue dye tests are the worst! I've heard so many stories here of them giving false positives.
I always buy the same brand of tests. Mine have purple dye. My experience has been that the evap lines always look the same - greyish. They dont vary. I did once get a purplish very faint line when i looked at the test later - and I was indeed pregnant. it just didnt stick. So in response to your question - I dont think it's common for evap lines to look different on the same brand... although now that I think about it.... maybe if left longer than 10 minutes the test can pick up other things... like a very high progesterone level or something... who knows...
If it was me, i think i would take it as a good sign, and test again the next day. I would SO love to hear a great story about you getting a BFP just when you were finally scheduled to start IVF! My fingers are crossed for you!
Thank you for your comments.
The test was first response, which I believe is pink lines. I threw them out, so I'm not 100% sure. It sounds like HPT can play a whole bunch of games with us. I think that I will spend a little bit more money and go for the digital next time.
So, I bought a digital and it came out PREGNANT!!!! I can't believe it. I feel like it can't be real. I trying not to get excited, because it's been four years, there is no way this is happening to me. I'm on my way to buy more tests just to confirm. eeks.
OMG!! Congrats, I am so happy for you.
