Thank you so mauch !!!
I see that everything is possible and it is not the end of the world yet:-)
Good luck to you!
I agree with what Anika has said. FSH fluctuates and it's far from a perfect measure of fertility (it just happens to be one of the only ones that doctors have at all). I got pregnant naturally with an FSH of 12.4 (last tested FSH). That was my dd, and I was 39. I also got pregnant naturally 6 months after my dd was born (my FSH was somewhere between 12.4 and 15.4). I had a miscarriage because of a chromosomal abnormality but given my age that's not surprising. Don't worry about your FSH! It was just 8 so that's a great sign. Mine were never below 11.7 and I was still fine.
Fsh levels can fluctuate and in some people clomid can make the levels higher. Your ob is probably refferring you because a specialist does more advanced testing and uses and has access to different medications to help you. I understand about not being able to afford IVF, and I was very upset after 2 doctors told me I was in early menopause(im only 36). However after seeing an RE I found they were wrong and I am now 25 weeks pg today. When I started seeing the RE my fsh was 12.4 but after endometriosis removal, cyst, and polyp removal, a d&c, and injectable meds, I was indeed able to get pregnant and my fsh level went down. Fsh is just an estimate drs use to see how many eggs you have left and quality but its not alway correct. You can still have a baby. There are also herbs and supplements I have heard some of the ladies have used to lower it, royal jelly, wheat grass, and DHEA to name a few. Sorry so rambly hope this helps and good luck to you.
