So this is the first time I have ever used an OPK. I started on day 11 and have used 6 so far.
Day one was light
Day two was darker
Day three was almost as dark as the test line
Day four was light - what happened there? Is this the way it is supposed to go? My temp rose this day too.
Then it gets weird...
Day five darker than day four still lots of eggwhite
Day six darker again (about the same as day three) eggwhite still and temp a bit lower.
What is going on? Did I ovulate yet?
Anyone else have strange things like this with an OPK or is this even strange? I thought this would clear up the mystery about when and if I was ovulating but I am just more confused.
Did u test the same time everyday??? Did u happen to consume a lot of fluids 2-3 hours before testing on Day 4? Did u take any medicine that could influence the outcome? Did u pour the same amount of urine
I did test the same time - first think in the morning so I didn't drink before any of the tests. No meds except tylenol. I didn't use a container so I may have had a different rate of saturation. I just found it funny that I got a line every day. I thought it would be more obvious.
Today I had the darkest line of all though. It is strange because my temps already had a surge a couple days ago and I don't have as much eggwhite.
Hi ladies i heard that its better to test in the afternoon not sure why but maybe someone can put it right?if it helps any i found the ovulation kits with the smiley face
Coz LH is produced from late morning onwards. So when we test in the morning & get a positive, it means that the LH surge was produced yesterday. So it is better to BD every alternate day.
Yeah - same brand but I didn't use a cup so maybe there was discrepancies. That gives me hope though because DH got sick on the day of my morning positive. We had BD'd the night before so if the surge was the day before tha we DID bd during a positive time.
I should have investigated further before I spent the money on the first round! If I use it again next month I may try a different brant but definitely use a cup and evening urine!
