Follicle size

I just had my day 13 scan to see what the follicles are doing and if I'm about to ovulate.  I have 2 large follicles that have matured very nicely while others are there but not as big. One is on the left and the other is on the right measuring very close to the same at 1.3 cm (medicated cycle).  I'm pretty sure the RE is going to have me take the HCG shot today.  My endometrial lining is at 9.  

I'm scared of the HCG shot since this will be the first time having this shot and since I have two dominant follicles that both will be released.  It would be nice to have twins but with my history of not being able to carry past 9 weeks I'm still really scared of what is going to happen.

After the trigger shot does anyone still use the OPK's or just go off the trigger shot.  I did one OPK yesterday and the line was pretty dark.   Also what type of symptoms or side effects have anyone had with the HCG shot?

I watched a video of how to administer the shot and felt faint so hoping hubby will have no problems administering it.  lol

TY I will let you know what they say about Wednesday.  It's funny the nurse called back after I told her I was having a lot of pain since last Friday as though I was about to ovulate.  She told me they had a plan, keep using the OPK's and have intercourse every night even though it hurts.   Had to help DH out since he was pretty tired yesterday trying to get the inspector out to pass the septic system that we just installed and the rain would not stop.

But on the good news side... the septic passed and now we can continue building on the house.

It is amazing how many things have to line up for a healthy pregnancy to occur. It truly is a miracle! Keep me posted on how things go!

ty.  I got a call from RE and they want to do another scan this Wednesday to see if they get bigger or what before telling me to do the trigger.  If I ovulate before Wed than I won't have to take the shot.  

They are thinking my LH surge is too early and my follicles are not maturing enough so when I do get pregnant it isn't a good pregnancy.

I just trigger and stop the opks. The hcg makes my boobs sore for and increases my appetite so I tend to gain a few pounds.
