No- The same happened to me my 1st IVF. My body just did not respond to the suppositories and they started me on the injections. Your body was suppressed prior during stimulation and needs the levels to increase now to support the early implantation and beginning of the pregnancy.
The injections aren't easy, but you can do it! I am currently injecting every night now in my 2nd IVF attempt. I have a BPT tomorrow!!
Thanks a lot. I am not afraid of injections, I am just afraid that I am failed. I had 4 IVFs ( 2 m/c) but I was never told that my levels are low. I am trying for 16 years and my husband and I are just so hopufull that this time it will work.
I know how you feel... I did IVF and my levels were low and I had to do the pills and the shots... At one point my level was really low and I was afraid I would m/c. So, no, the shots are kind of a norm... Super Dooper Extra Sticky Baby Dust to you!!!
My levels are low with the progesterone right now. I am 7wks pregnant and my progesterone was 13 and I take the shots (oil). However my progesterone is so low that I even have to take the vaginal capsules starting today.. SO Dont worry the shots arent bad. the good thing is there were two solid strong heart beats. But I was the same way in the beginning but in the long run its all for the right reasons. Good Luck!!!
I was out on the progesterone injections and the vaginal capsules right away after ivf. It's the normal protocal in my doctor's office. I took both of those for the first 12 weeks. I am now 18 weeks pregnant! So no it doesn't nmean you are not pregnant. It's supposed to help those little embryos stay stuck!
I was on injection for the fresh transfer starting the day of retrieval and ended on day 9 after transfer when the test was negative. With the frozen transfer, started injection and suppositories 2 days before the transfer and stopped when it was confirmed negative. Dr said would have to take maybe up to 8-12 wks of pregnancy.
