Help, I'm Not Feeling Too Good :-(

Hello ladies,

This doesn't have to do with fertility, but I'm kinda in pain lately.  My whole pelvic area feels sore and tender when I cough.  As soon as I O'd I started getting nauseous, a bad headache, and urinating a lot again just like last cycle but this uterine pain is worse. It's just strange that it always happens after I ovulate.  This time I feel like my uterus or bladder is falling out and my ovaries hurt much worse than normal.  I just made a doctor appointment (regular doc, not OB/GYN) but they can't see me until Monday.  I'm wondering if this could be a urine infection, kidney infection or what.  I just feel horrible.  I posted something on the doctor forum about ovarian cysts but didn't get a response yet.  I just bought a quart of cranberry juice and will suck it up along with the cranberry tablets when I get home.

I'm debating on going to my OB/GYN because I'm not too happy with her and haven't had a chance to find a new one yet.   I hope this cranberry juice helps and if it gets worse I may go to the ER.  The pelvic cramps are worse when I walk and they feel like the way you do if you eat before you go swimming but it's in your pelvic area instead of your side.  But does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

I feel much better this morning.   I took two cranberry tablets and several glasses of cranberry juice.  So I'm assuming it's a UTI since that helped, at least the pelvic pain and heaviness is gone.  I still feel the ovary pains though but not as bad.  I've been getting UTI's for years and I think I keep treating the symptoms and not getting it cured.  So hopefully my primary doc will prescribe me an antibiotic. I never took Clomid but maybe I had a REALLY hard ovulation this month. I read that sometimes sugar can make it harder for the eggie to break through and I've had so much extra sugar this month.

Vsentz, yes, I do have a fibroid and I think I remember it being the same size you had, about 3.5cm.  The doc always felt it on my exams but the problem is, when I had a hysteroscopy the doctor didn't see any fibroids at all in my uterus so that's what's strange.  She never answered my question about where the fibroid really is.  Now you see why I don't want to go back to her.

But thanks all for the advice.  It really does help!!!!

I had the same thing happen the first month I took clomid...which I'm not sure you are on anything like that??? I had everything but the frequent urination. my stomach area hurt so bad I didn't want to walk, when I took a shower I couldn't even lift my leg to shave-it hurt to move at all. it felt like I had done a million situps. I called my ob and talked to the nurse who said it sounded like ovulation pains/symptoms. not sure if it's just that for you or a uti but mine went away within a day or two. hope you feel better soon!

Sorry you aren't feeling very well!! :'-( It sure sounds like a UTI or bladder infection to me. Love Love Cranberry tablets. I keep a stock in them because my daughter drinks more soda then anyone ever could. You would think after several UTI's she would know better then to drink Pepsi!! I won't buy it for her, I don't drink any kind of soda so I'm not buying it ..is what I tell her..lol Hope you are feeling better really soon!! XoXo!!

Thanks for the support ladies!  I'm not running a fever but it's hard to tell when you're in the luteal phase.  My temps have been slightly higher for the past two cycles though so that could be why.  I took the cranberry tablets when I got home and I'm waiting to see if that helps.  I will probably pick up the AZO tablets tomorrow.  It doesn't burn or hurt when I urinate but I'm just going all the time, sometimes as soon as I come back from the bathroom so I know something isn't right.  I really can't afford to get sick now because I have so much to do.  I'm just praying it's not my kidneys but I will know soon if the cranberry tablets helped.  It's just funny how it stopped when AF came and started up again in the luteal phase.

My theory is maybe when my uterus rises after O it hits my bladder?  Who knows!!

Thanks!

The AZO tablets are otc and can help relieve UTI symptoms...They will not cure the infection, but they can provide relief until you get in to see the Dr.

It's kind of hard to tell, but with the frequent urination and pelvic pain it does sound like a possible UTI. Keep up with the cranberry juice and don't hesitate to go to the ER if you have to. Are you running a fever?
