we are on cycle day 4 of meds and first u/s and blood will be Thursday (day 6)
I can already feel a little something in my sides....
Congrats on the 20 follies.... grow slow grow slow.....
I am on CD 8 of being on meds ... I went to the Dr. just about 45 mins ago and they told me I have about 20 follies on each side. They are ranging in size from 9 to 10 cm and that they may want to put the dose of meds down and watch me closely again. Well how are you guys doing???
kaprovea - what cd are you?
My last day of bc is tomorrow and start meds soon after (depending on when AF shows)
I wait 6 days to go in for my u/s and am a high responder. That is just the protocol for the doctor.
the dr. I work with here in town has me come in about every 3 days after the start of meds - she wants to make sure I don't hyperstimulate.....
the protocol I posted is from my out of town dr. (which is usually tweeked by my in town dr.)
If you are a high responder I am surprised they are waiting till day 8 for bloodworkand u/s. Is this normal protocol for your RE?I am a very high responder also, I was on 27-32 follistim (and lupron for repression) and was checked from day 3 onwards with ultrasounds and bloodwork atleast every other day.
Kele - pray for my bottom :-))
So help me I get blisters again and I am taking off of work.....no way can I sit at a desk for 9 hours with a red baboon butt....
Krista - hey I'm willing to share eggs..... as long as you don't mind the "mutt" mixture of my genes: mexican, italian, german, and polish
Before the high responder protocal I would have 25 - 40 follies, with about 20 or so eggs.... now we get about 20 follies and 10 eggs..... quality over quantity honey!!!!
:))
I responded really well too and all the dr's did the second time around was to put me on a lower dose of the Bravelle/Menopur cocktail for a longer time...but hey it worked. ^_^
I so hope that you don't become the red a$$ed baboon again...
I can't even imagine being a high responder! I am such a POOR responder, I am on 375 units GonalF twice per day, etc... and still nothing!
Can I borrow some eggs from one of you?!?
I finally got to the doctor yesterday!! My protocal so far is Gonal F 75 and one vial of Menopur. I guess they are going to gradually have it go up but I won't know anything until the time goes by. My next u/s is Sept. 2 so I will let you know what happens.
OMG!!! 14 WEEKS!!! OUCH.... OUCH... and oh yeah.... OUCH!!!! How is your rear?
I have gotten a prescription for something other than sesame oil - RE didn't want to do suppositories...... pray for no blisters this time!!!!
Mine protocol was very different but then I am not a great responder. Will you manage PIO this time? I hope you will not lose all skin off your a$$. I stopped PIO shots at 14 weeks so beware!!
I go in the 26th of August to check for suppresion and then I will know what my protocol is. Yeah people like us are rare. My RE told me that he had only seen one other person that responded so well to the meds in the entire time he had been doing this. I had a first try of IVF in May and I responded to well to the medication and my estrogen was to low so I had to stop the cycle.
Kaprovea - thanks for the info. I hadn't heard or seen anyone else post something like this and wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy or my RE was using me as a guinea pig.... when you know yours would you let me know?
I am waiting for AF to show (she was due yesterday!) so that I can start the b/c pills. My nurse stated it may not take the full 21 days for suppression.....
I am kind of in the same boat as you. I am also a high responder which my doctor told me is like 1% of all the people he sees. I don't know what my protocol will be but that sounds about right. They told me that after I have my ultrasound in August then they will decide on the doses for the medication but the doctor did tell me that they were going to gradually work up on the medications so it will take longer than 2 weeks for me to get to the retrieval ...
oh...
and after retrieval, start Lovenox injections......
So far.... and when AF shows....
