How Many Beta Bloods before 1st u/s??

Ok ladies, how many betas did you have drawn before your RE brought you in for your 1st ultrasound?  And what was your HCG number from your 1st blood draw?

Just curious.

My 1st IVF ended in miscarriage and this is round #2 and keeping my fingers crossed this takes.

my personal opinion is that my GOOD REs did not do U/s till I would be 6 weeks and hear a hb - regardless of number of beta draws
the money hungry ones (or something I don;t know)  wanted to do tham when the beta went over a certain number - but I never went for them
I waited till 6 weeks

Congrats ! I had my second Beta today and it looks good ! US is next week and I am nervous. Good luck yo you !

Thanks for posting.  I just got the call from my RE office and my 1st beta is 777!! Today is day 14 after a 6 day transfer.  I asked about when I could expect to come in for an ultrasound and she told me in about 2 weeks. I go for another round of blood on Thursday. Keeping my fingers crossed the numbers continue to rise.

It's depend on your history.  My first one is 1 week apart but MC, second one is 2 days apart because low beta and maybe ectopic pg and end up ectopic one.  This time, RE worried about ectopic so I have several betas till it up to 2000 to have an u/s to make sure it's sitting in the uterus, and 2 weeks later to have u/s to have a heart beat @7 week pg.

I had 2 betas before my first u/s. The first one was 14 days after retrieval and was 139, the second one was 3 days after and was 335. But from what I saw here every women is different. My first u/s will be this Thursday and yes I am sooooo nervous !!

I had 4 betas drawn before my 1st u/s. But, I don't think the number of betas matters. My first HCG was 40 - 14dpiui. My RE had me come in 3X the following week. After the 3rd beta, since my number was rising appropriately, we scheduled an u/s for wk 5.
