How do you know you're ovulating?

Just curious if there are telltale signs beyond tests from the doc (I am waiting for test results and obsessing a bit in the meantime).

I get positive OPKs every cycle, never miss a period, get ovulation pains, EWCM every cycle, charted my temps for two months and it showed the normal rising of temps after the + OPK and then dropping with my period.

My doc said that because my periods are irregular in length and ovulation day with a short LP, he may (if tests come back normal) want to start me on Clomid. I guess I don't understand how Clomid regulates your period if you are indeed ovulating. All the material I read is about using it for women who don't ovulate.

Anybody using Clomid for purposes other than starting ovulation?

Thanks!

I was also on clomid to increase the # of eggs and quality. I am  now on femara for the same thing since it doesn't have the side effects that clomid does. All our tests are great and i o on my own and never have a late period we are just unexplained infertility.  So the meds are just to try to increase our chances. Hope that helps.

It sounds like you are doing everything you can to determine ovulation.

I O on my own, but have tried Clomid for a few cycles.  In my case the dr is doing it to promote better quality eggs and more of them.  Everything with me checks out fine, but DH's morphology is a little low, so we are trying to create more targets for his swimmers.  I know that Clomid can help regulate your cycles, but I'm not exactly sure the how's of it.

Best of Luck to You!!  I know how stressful the journey can be.
