How often does your RE to Beta checks?

mhv
I was just wondering how often everyones RE's do/or did Beta checks?  When I was pregnant last July, my RE did them a week apart, and it seems like everyone on here get theirs tested more often then that.  I was just wondering what the "norm" is....Thanks in advance for your answers!

My office makes you come in for:
Beta #1 but wont tell you the #  (reason because sometimes it's not viable)
Beta #2 - (2 days later) then will confirm you pregnant with #.
They want to make sure #'s are increasing before telling.

Then tested everyweek until 10 weeks when you go back to regulare OBGYN.

They gave me a sheet this AM with both options - what to do next.  The first one BFP (nice that they are optimistic by putting that one first!).  The said they repeat it 2 days later and then they say that you may have to repeat it a few times.  Just thought I'd pass this along.

Unfortunately I was in the second category - Stop Prometrium and call us on day 1.

Let me know how it goes for you! I'm hoping one of us gets a BFP!!! Maybe it will be contagious for next month!! :)

Take care!

I had first beta 14 days after retrieval and then another beta a week later.  My RE expected beta to go up 10 times in 1 week.  After that I had no beta checks.

I had betas then ultrasound when my numbers were expected to be at 1500. I think they were checking progesterone levels also.

I only had two betas after my IVF. One 10 days after transfer (so the equivalent of 15 dpo) and then two days later at 12 days after transfer to see if it doubled. That was it until my sonogram at 7 weeks. I too thought others were getting more betas (at least three), but when I asked about it on here, it seemed like many only got the two unless it was a slow increase in numbers or other cause for concern. The time between my last beta and the sonogram drove me crazy, though...I kept worrying that something was wrong, especially since I didn't have that many symptoms...but all was well when I went in for my 7-week checkup!
