Thre are many different kinds of tests as we all know since we have been through so much with TTC.
Cduv it sounds like what you are refering to is a water sono.
MHV mentioned with hysteroscopy they put you under anesthesia. I agree with that.
Journey2 motherhood may be referring to a Hysteroplingogram where they shoot the dye in & up tubes to see if they are blocked. They can also view uterus for any possible problems
Let us know how your test went & which you had.
Hi, I had one done before and never had any pain or discomfort while they were doing it. It does goes rather quickly, but I do remember them telling me I can take a motrin before I go. Not sure if that really helped but I felt better knowing I did take it. My sister had a different experience. She did experience a lot of cramping, but they did come across some problems with her tubes, so I'm assuming that's why she had discomfort. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that everything goes well for you. Please let me know how you make out.
I have had 3 hysteroscopies for removal of scar tissue from a dnc. I have always been put under for these. Is he going to do an in office hysteroscopy? What exactly is he looking for? If he finds car tissue, does he plan on removing it, or referring you to someone who specializes in the removal of scar tissue, if that's what he is looking for? These are important questions to ask.
Its super easy. If you just relax it is almost painless, they insert a speculum just like for a Pap. Then a very thin catheter so that they can get the dye through the cervix and into the uterus. The whole process only takes about 30 min and it is easy! Good Luck!
