Question about Femera...isn't that also a breast cancer drug?   I know it works on other illnesses too besides fertility.   Did you insurance cover it?????

Good luck to you! I am just starting Femara today for the first time. I was on Clomid before this, and no luck. Can you tell me if you experienced any side effects on the Femara? Did your Doc assure you that's it's safe for pregnancy?

Hello. Thank you very much for your kind wishes. I hope this will be our month. Can't wait to see BFP. I did not know that Femara was a breast cancer drug. Pharmacist  told me that it was. I was on Clomid before 4 cycles no succes. I read about the side effects of CLomid, such as thinnig of uterine lining. I asked my doctor and he said we can change it to Femara. I did not have any side effects. With Clomid I had hot flashes during the night and nausea. Hope this will work.

Thanks for the comments. I'm on day 2 now with Femara..no real side effects to speak of so far. My doc said I also need an MRI to check out my pituitary gland. What round of Femara are you on? Is this your first?

Yes first time. What are they doing MRI for?

MRI to check my pituitary gland to make sure i'm producing FSH and LH, he says. After they rule out the pituitary gland as a problem, he knows better what he's dealing with.
